In
sickness, in health and on Viagra

The average age of divorced couples has increased by 10 years in
the last 5 years, believe it or not. Viagra, the erectile dysfunfunction
treatment, is partly to blame for Italians finding new partners
sooner.
In the past, couples would wait until their children finished high
school and then get divorced. Apparently, the wait is just not long
enough and today's couples in Italy are waiting until their
children are married and in many cases even longer.
Four years ago almost a quarter of million Italian couples aged
55 and up got divorced. Since then, the number just keeps rising.
This year alone there was a 3% increase. Add to these figures the
hundreds of thousands of couples between the ages of 60-75 that
had decided to separate, but do not start a divorce process.
With the life expectancy increasing, older people are beginning
to think to the future. This translates to couples rethinking their
relationships. With men expectating to live 20 years longer and
women even longer then 20 years, psychologists a Florence seminar
this past year agreed that this has lead to a flood of increased
expectations to enjoy in those years.
One more reason that cannot be forgotten which plays an important
role in the enjoyment of those years is the Viagra pill that was
put on the market seven years ago. The Viagra pill improves the
sex life for many couples in those ages and more often then not
with a lover as well.
Chezera Rimini, a divorce lawyer from Italy, stated that in Italy
he expects that once a female Viagra hits the market, or a pill
that will increase the sexual urge with females, a great wave of
divorces will flood over the country. |
